Sulewasi

We have been lucky over the years to have access to some terrific coffees from Sumatra. The mood of most Sumatran coffees fits nice into the woods of the Northwest. Dense toned coffees with the mood of moss and steep mountain tops, tall evergreen stands, glacier melt streams, and big skies. Their attributes find commonality with life in places with long winters and forest rich summers and this new crop we have in from Sulawesi is along the same vein, but it really has something else that we do not see as often, an level of elegance and silkiness that makes it truly special. It has a very natural sweetness that hides like a hint, and a tone of green apple that is masked as a subtle acidity. It really is something unique and special. And delicious.
